Jennifer Jackson
Therapist Intern
Jennifer believes that there is no problem too big or small for therapy. She also believes that every individual has strengths and the resilience to overcome their challenges and therefore she aims to provide a nonjudgmental, empathic, and anti-oppressive safe space where clients can feel comfortable and safe expressing themselves and exploring topics that may be prevalent in their lives such as depression, anxiety, stress, burnout, relationships, newcomer issues and money management. Jennifer collaborates with clients using evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Solution-focused, Gestalt and Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy as appropriate to help clients reach their goals.
Culture is very important to Jennifer and as such her approach is all-encompassing; she welcomes clients with rich and diverse backgrounds, stories, and issues, all the while striving to provide a safe and compassionate therapeutic space for my clients to tell their story.
Currently, Jennifer is completing her Master of Arts in Psychotherapy at Yorkville University.
