Deborah Grose-Checkel (R)CTA MICM MDIV CNPBR&H is a Provisional Supervisor-Educator (supervisor-in-training) for the Psycho-Spiritual Therapy Interns at the Community Counselling Centre of London. Deborah has over 15-years counselling-therapy experience and most recently has been employed full time for 6 years with LifeWorks’s Employee Assistance Program and Work Support Program.
Deborah offers an accepting, empathetic, and holistic approach that includes the integration of many counselling therapies. She specializes in Spirituality and Neuroplasticity, and has extensive experience in assisting individuals with depression, anxiety, anger, trauma, addictions, loss and grief, couples/marriage, and family and workplace issues, including children and individuals in the LGBTQ2S community.
Deborah is a Certified Psycho-Spiritual Therapist, Certified Spiritual Care Practitioner, and Provisional Supervisor-Educator with the Canadian Association of Spiritual Care/Association canadienne de soins spirituels. She is currently a Counselling Therapist of Alberta and represents the Alberta Association of Spiritual Care on the Association of Counselling Therapists of Alberta Board towards their pending College of Counselling Therapists of Alberta. Deborah lives in Alberta and will be supervising Therapy Interns at the Community Counselling Centre of London by video conferencing.
